Changing domes
For Receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids
For Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids with thin tubing
For In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids with custom domes
Follow these simple steps to do it safely:
1. Gently remove the old dome from the receiver or tubing.
2. Align the new dome with the tip of the receiver.
3. Push it on firmly until it feels secure.
4. Check that the dome is properly attached before using your hearing aid.
Avoid forcing the dome into place, as this can damage the receiver. If you’re unsure or have difficulty replacing it, a hearing care professional can assist you.
